Traditions...Decorating with Candles

Historians believe we have been using candles to illuminate our lives for over 5,000 years. The dictionary defines a candle as a cylindrical mass of tallow or wax with a wick through its center, which gives light when burned. Not a very romantic definition!

Today although we do not use them for a major source of light as in centuries past, they continue to grow more popular for contemporary reasons. We enjoy our candles at family and religious celebrations, for romance and of course in home decor.

Traditions has many choices in candles to help you enhance your decorating with a new scent, to change a mood or to add color to any room. Our popular seasonal candles include our Frasier Fur line that has a delightful fresh cut evergreen fragrance, our beautiful Poinsettia candles and our unique Bark and Log candles can help you bring a little natural landscape indoors for the holidays. But you really do not need a holiday to enjoy our assortment of candles.

We always have our Canpol Candles in ivory and white, our modern Et Al Designs handcrafted Black and White Beeswax Candles and our very popular Trapp Collection (love that Bob's Flower Shoppe scent)! We even have a line of candles by Archipelago that caters to more masculine scents. Despite their humble beginnings it is safe to say candles will continue to add enjoyment to our lives and homes with a warm and cozy glow. See you at the store, The Girls at Traditions
